We will be playing the fourth annual Parksville B'kawk August 16th in beautiful downtown Parksville NY up in the Catskills. Those who have been following for a while know we have done this I think three times now, and we always love it. What on the surface seems to be a country festival breaded and deep-fried in farmer john poultry themed grease, is really an excuse to get a bunch of accomplished elder punks together in the country and get loud with our families and friends, drink and eat some local delicacies, tour the robust local art scene and wonder why the fuck we still live in the city. 

Joining us will be:
Shinbone Alley Stilt Band (don't know them, but I am sure they have some stories)
The Bosses Wife (I vouch - the lead singer is a treasure)
Creatures (again, I vouch - Morphine meets Sovtek)
The Giraffes (that's us, duh) 
with a DJ set by Guerilla Toss (who has been on my playlist a LOT this summer - fast, crunchy and smart).

We have been tapped to close out the big show. Kids who sign up for the Rock Academy in Woodstock work for weeks to perfect their craft and put on a rock show at the end of the session. The teachers like to make it as immersive as possible so they asked us to close the night out. We did a show with this school (same school - I am assuming different kids - unless we are performing with the remedial rockers who've been held back a year or two- in which case - touché) a while back where they were playing the songs of the Butthole Surfers with Gibby Haynes himself in Brooklyn and had a wonderful time. There was this one super young boy who had ear cans on the whole time and was being super non descript till he jumped on stage and ripped a key solo that would've made Prince grin.

We are bringing you an excellent band that we met at the Liars Club in Chicago: Pink Frost. They rip (especially live). We met them at our old buddy Gary Kesslers birthday party and became fast friends so we are thrilled to bring them to our Brooklyn folk to make party big time.
Starting things off will be Sicco's Dissapearing Act which does indeed look weird and less than controlled which is one of my sweet spots.

Main drag is where we all go to get those special amulets and spirit infused tools and weapons that are always plus something in wounding and/or charisma. Ive gotten a bunch of stuff there over the yers and its always been great. get ready for a loud and intimate show for tru connoisseurs. 

Also- we reordered vinyl for our Minneapolis trip so we will have  Flower of the Cosmos and Usury vinyl in hand for this along with some new stickers. 

We are taking a ride with our best friend - Mishka Shubaly through Ohio and into Chicago starting here at the Union in Athens Ohio
